Hushamok Baby Hammocks
60A friend of mine had a baby a few months ago and when I went to visit her I found she was using the Hushamok baby hammock instead of a crib or bassinet. They are designed for babies to sleep in a secure and safe environment and the best part of all is that you can have the hammock next to your bed as it doesn’t take up too much room.
It is also easy to move to another room in the house or take when you travel. There is even a travel bag included that makes it convenient to pack when traveling away from home.
The hammock is designed to hang from a wooden or aluminum pole and the hammock itself is made from 100% Turkish organic cotton. It also includes a mattress and two matching fitted sheets.
This is an alternative to the traditional baby bassinet with it’s natural swinging and rocking motion that help encourage your baby to sleep.
Hammocks are ideal for babies who suffer from infant colic and reflux because of the degree of inclination. This stops acid and bile from rising into the upper respiratory tract which can cause pain, crying and vomiting associated with reflux. The hammock will help to cradle your baby in an angled position and can be both soothing for the baby and for the parents.
There is some evidence that cot death happens more often when babies sleep on their stomachs. The baby Hushamok hammock is designed to ensure that your baby can’t roll over onto their back.
The hammock is designed for newborn babies up to approximately six months or 22 pounds.
There are several great reviews for this product with one person saying “they would definitely recommend this product to any parent who wants their child as well as themselves to get a good night sleep.”
One of the accessories available is the MySeat which is designed for when your baby is awake.
It is a piece of baby furniture designed for when your baby becomes more alert and interactive at approximately twelve weeks old. It is not a baby swing but it does provide a natural movement that is deal for babies.
It has a removable tether, neck support and harness system that ensures your baby is secure. It is also easily adjusted for older children.
The Hushamok MySeat is recommended for babies from 12 weeks or older up to a maximum weight of 50 pounds (22 kg).
